The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District One is preparing design plans to widen SR 82 from two to four lanes between Homestead Road and the Lee/Hendry County Line in Lee County. These improvements also include adding a median, buffered bicycle lanes, sidewalk on the north side of the road and a shared use path on the south side of the road.
